Critics don't come cheap

I wake up. Shower, brush my teeth, comb my hair and get dressed. As all of this is happening as you think of the block order of the day. All of a sudden it dawns on you. English. Block 4, located in the portable. At first you just blow it off till you look outside. A hail storm combined with 65mhp winds oh and let add some thunder in there. Meh, Not that bad is it? Only like a 100ft away from the school is your class. You can just lightly jog. You start making your way to the awkward doors located at the end of the school opposite ALL your other classes but hey could be worse? Think of those kids who have there classes upstairs in warm classrooms but hey, At least we don't have to walk up stairs right?. In the summer it's stupidly warm and in the winter its unforgivingly cold but then you remember your only in there for an hour. While EVERYONE else is inside in their air condition class rooms and heaters and slowly killing the enviorment one block at a time, But you think hey I'm doing the enviorment a favor. Finally we get to our lovely portable we call home for a whole hour and 25 mins you sit down in your so very hard plastic chair with a desk that shakes when you begin to write, You look up and the bell goes just as you read the chalk bored "BRING your novel study books to class!". Of course but hey you only need to go outside, up the stairs through the doors up another to flights of stairs to your locker thats upstairs as you pass the other English class upstairs beside your locker that is upstairs and then you come to a realization that you are very very jealous. But you man up and walk tall down those those 2 flights up stairs through the hallway to the doors that lead you back to the portable. Once again the awkward aroma enters your nostrils at a vascular pace that smells like a mix of bad air fresheners and rolled up 10 week old full plate of Cesar salad with rotting tomatoes. But now that i think about it the portable isn't all that bad i mean, We're only in it for a total of a year and half?

If you choose to proceed you will indeed concede

(Exuse the language)
"Changes"

[1]
Come on come on
I see no changes wake up in the morning and I ask myself
is life worth living should I blast myself?
I'm tired of bein' poor & even worse I'm black
my stomach hurts so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch
Cops give a damn about a negro
pull the trigger kill a nigga he's a hero
Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares
one less hungry mouth on the welfare
First ship 'em dope & let 'em deal the brothers
give 'em guns step back watch 'em kill each other
It's time to fight back that's what Huey said
2 shots in the dark now Huey's dead
I got love for my brother but we can never go nowhere
unless we share with each other
We gotta start makin' changes
learn to see me as a brother instead of 2 distant strangers
and that's how it's supposed to be
How can the Devil take a brother if he's close to me?
I'd love to go back to when we played as kids
but things changed, and that's the way it is

[Bridge w/ changing ad libs]
Come on come on
That's just the way it is
Things'll never be the same
That's just the way it is
aww yeah
[Repeat]

[2]
I see no changes all I see is racist faces
misplaced hate makes disgrace to races
We under I wonder what it takes to make this
one better place, let's erase the wasted
Take the evil out the people they'll be acting right
'cause both black and white is smokin' crack tonight
and only time we chill is when we kill each other
it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other
And although it seems heaven sent
We ain't ready, to see a black President, uhh
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact
the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks
But some things will never change
try to show another way but you stayin' in the dope game
Now tell me what's a mother to do
bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you
You gotta operate the easy way
"I made a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way
sellin' crack to the kid. " I gotta get paid,"
Well hey, well that's the way it is

[Bridge]

[Talking:]
We gotta make a change...
It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live
and let's change the way we treat each other.
You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do
what we gotta do, to survive.

[3]
And still I see no changes can't a brother get a little peace
It's war on the streets & the war in the Middle East
Instead of war on poverty they got a war on drugs
so the police can bother me
And I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do
But now I'm back with the facts givin' it back to you
Don't let 'em jack you up, back you up,
crack you up and pimp smack you up
You gotta learn to hold ya own
they get jealous when they see ya with ya mobile phone
But tell the cops they can't touch this
I don't trust this when they try to rush I bust this
That's the sound of my tool you say it ain't cool
my mama didn't raise no fool
And as long as I stay black I gotta stay strapped
& I never get to lay back
'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay backs
some punk that I roughed up way back
comin' back after all these years
rat-tat-tat-tat-tat that's the way it is uhh

[Bridge 'til fade:]
Some things will never change

After reading the first stanza by 2pac in his song "Changes" you immdently understand the mood, Theme, Tone, And plot just by the first verse, which is really rare in today's newer music.    The first thing I notice when looking at the lyrics is the obvious parallel structure, "Come on come on That's just the way it is
Thing'sll never be the same That's just the way it is. (repeat x2)". Secondly the irony in the song stands out, 2Pac says "We ain't ready, to see a black President" But today America is lead by one."     3rdly The theme of the song is that Racism in general needs to be stopped, Theres no reason racism should still be around today and the world as a whole needs to make some serious changes to try and fix today's problems about not only black people but everyone no matter the color of their skin.    A 4th point in 2Pac's song is he sets a mood in everyone's mind, While people read or listen to the song we all begin to understand the actual problems in today's society and then we think about how easily they could actually be fixed, Just by changing the way we treat everyone and if everyone was treated as equal the world would be a much prettier place. Second to last, The use of the words "God" and "Heaven" are illusions in the song refering to a person that everyone knows of.     The poem also demonstrates tons and tons of figureative and literal language, "Cops give a damn about a negro pull the trigger kill a nigga he's a hero". Finally the poem is also a narrative poem sense hes speaking about his personal experience and is telling acts of event or trying to show something to the reader.
This song has almost every device you could think of, Along with the message 2Pac gets across with this song is perfect, Hes not out spoken and not trying to blame everyone and anyone, Hes trying to get the point across that the world needs to change to make it a better place, And the sooner the better.

The blue sky looked like the wide open ocean

As I wiped the new morning frost off my 1824 silver revolver, I also watched the sun rise over the cold dry plains like a loaf of bread in the oven. I lived on my own. Off the land. Moved from town to town, ghost town to ghost town. But this cold crisp morning was different. Everything was quiet even the horses stood still like a mannequin. I rolled up my bundle and brushed the cold dirt off of it. And then raised my hat off the tree that it hung on and plopped it on my uncombed, un-showered head. From the moment I woke up I knew this day was unlike the others. Everything seemed to calm, and there also wasn't any wind. I knelt. I listened to the wind talk to me. Time almost stood still.  After a few moments, which felt like days, I knew I had to leave. Placing my cold gun into my holster, I dug my spurs deep into my horses flesh like a needle penetrating the first layer of skin. We rode towards the sunrise. My partner in crime didn't miss a beat,  galloping and breathing heavily like a monster.

College Application!

Dear College admission staff,

I could give you a list, Of every great or semi-great achievement I've done in my life leading up this application like how I've ran the whole great wall of China end to end, And I've been up the CN towers elevator a few times over and I've also never broken a bone but you'd never believe that if you knew all of the action sports i participated in.
Although my marks haven't always been the best, I've struggled in math I've struggled In science and I've most definietly struggled in English. But outside of school I've learned to snowboard with shaun white, I have Dirt biked with Travis Pastrana and best of all, Myself has sat in the pop-mobile. But after awhile I got bored with myself and decided to help some other people out, I Gave Martin Luther King his famous speech, I gave Mahatma Gandhi the Idea of a hungerstrike and I gave Arnold Schwarzenegger the phrase "I'll be back". I'm also a better chef then Gordon Ramsays.
After I grew up and stopped chasing my own physical achievements I coached Paul anderson to back lift 6270Lb's after I back lifted 7000, I Coached Usain Bolt I practicilly Coached him to walk and you know Sidney Crosby? I coached his slapshot till it was perfect. But don't worry I don't want any credit im not that kind of person.
People sometime ask me how did i climb everst at the age of 15 or how I am able to walk on water or how I earned the trust of the president. I tell them It just came naturally.
The one thing I haven’t done is applied for admission to college, Writing this now I feel like it’s going to be one of the hardest achievements of my life and if I do manage to obtain it I could almost call my life complete in away? Applying for college is like wrestling a bear.

Of Mice and Men cliches!

"Love is not finding a perfect person, it is seeing an imperfect person perfectly." This qoute would easily describe the love connection between George and Curleys Wife when Curley's Wife first walks in the barn and makes eye contact with geroge and it was basically love at first sight.             Before beating around the bush, It felt like love was in the air. From that moment they felt unsperptable from that moment on. They were both blinded by love unsure of what to think. A conflict would grow between Geroge and Curley but All's fair in love and war, But in the end Love conqours all because don't forget it only takes two to tango. George unlike Curley never blows his own horn and never judges a book by it's cover. Geroge and Curley's wife thought they could get away without curley finding out but when Curley confronted Geroge and said he had a bone to pick with himGeroge knew things were about to get heated and he knew when Curley said to get the lead out, He might end up kicking the bucket.
Before Geroge died he told Curley's wife you only hurt the one you love.

Critic!

In the movie Of Mice and Men by John Stienbeck each character was portrayed very well unlike most movies made from novellas, Of Mice and Men didn't stray to far from the actual novel and that is what impressed me most.
Out of all the characters in the movie, Curley's wife i think played her part the best. I instantly picked up on certain lines from the movie compared to the novel. The imagine i had in my mind then seeing her on the screen was almost exact. Her acting towards Lennie and George was almost perfectly portrayed with words and physical actions. Even watching the movie 2 weeks after finishing the novel i still remember her the best because of the way none of her actions where over dramatic or under dramatic they were perfectly on tone for the whole movie.
Anyone who where to watch the movie before reading the book i think would agree with me that she is by far the best overall portrayed character and the best part nothing was added in or removed from her character when comparing it to the novel.

Punctuation!

Edward lowered the paper that had his eyes concealed he looked over and sighed to Sandra, "Do you REALLY need to sit so close to me?".
Sandra muttered, "What honestly does not bother you this world? I can't even sit beside you without getting glared at or a uncalled for comment!"
"No Sandra, That's not it, the fact that you just irritate me to no end is the problem i can't even concentrate on my paper for God's sake!" pleaded Edward.
"No Edward, This is not going to work you give me a valid excuse on to why i bother you to no end, you never seem to give me ideas on to why i bother you so much you just give me a glare and you make your self feel like your Superior. But the truth is Edward i actually wear the pants in this relationship! Who does all the cooking all the cleaning and all the other small jobs around the house? And all you can do is sit there everyday and read your paper.
"Oh really Sandra? Is that your honest opinion? You think i do nothing?, well WHO does the garabadge every single night? WHO takes the dog for walks when the person who bought the damn thing doesn't even pay attention to it! And lastly, I'm the only person who works in this house! you stay at home and what bake cookies?
"Bake cookies? is that honestly all you think i do is bake you God damn cookies Edward? Do you want to trade spots for a week? Never mind a whole month! Sandra's voice was starting to escalate.
Edwards voice was now beginning to raise, and he finally shouted "Fine Sandra! it's settled we will switch places for a whole month, you can go to my office and actually do work for a full 8 hours and then come home and you can tell me what you want to do!. You tell me if you want to go around the house and do labor!"
Sandra almost giggled, "Ha, You just wait, You think working in an office was hard? Did i happen to mention i want breakfast, lunch and dinner made for me? And don't forget the dishes either and oh i like having a snack of some sort between lunch and dinner so make sure they'res something to eat inbetween meals.
Edward rolled his eyes, "And then i guess i should remind you to walk the dog, Water the garden, Weed the garden, Paint the rest of the deck, Mow the lawn, Check the oil in our cars but remember you wont be getting home till 6 o'clock and it gets dark by 7:30.
They both stood up and left the room simotainsly waiting in anguish to see what the next month had in store.
